Books I’ve read in 2016

I know, already one month of the new year has passed, but I wanted to write this post since I finished my last book. However, due to exams, I was simply too busy. In December 2015 I set myself a goal on Goodreads – 12 books in one year. Okay, this sounds like nothing. And when I browsed through the reading challenge of my friends I realised that I was by far the one with the smallest goal. But you know what, I didn’t care. Because for me it was more important to set myself a realistic and an achievable aim.

My First Lush Bath Bomb

Can you believe that I never tried a bath bomb? Although I love having long baths while listening to music or reading a book. And no, luckily I always managed to keep my book dry 😉 However, yesterday I treated myself with my first Lush Bomb – the Yoga Bomb.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood by Charles Dickens

After reading my very first novel by Charles Dickens it was clear for me that I’ll be reading more novels by him. First, I’ve decided to read Great Expectations, however, after I found out that there’s an unfished novel I changed my mind. The thought of reading his last work which he wasn’t able to finish was exciting and I immediately wrote it on my To-Read-List for my Reading Challenge 2016.

Les Yeux Sans Visage – New Age ~ Me Myself And My Music

Punk’s not dead. We all know that. But Post-Punk is not dead as well. If you listen to this EP you’ll probably be thinking that they are an English New Wave band from the late 70ies or early 80ies. Sorry to disappoint you, because your guess would have been completely wrong. It’s much better because this band released their EP New Age in 2009. What even astonished me more was the fact that they are not British at all. We actually have something in common – living in Switzerland.

Essence Nail Polish… Not A Beauty Review

It’s been several months since I’ve bought this nail polish set from Essence.  I usually never paint my nails and if I decide to do so, I always go with a clear coat. Mainly because of one reason: You’re not able to see very good if it’s chipping. However, last weekend I gave this nail polish a try. Let’s be prepared for a none beauty review…

Editors – The Back Room ~ Me Myself And My Music

How could I forget that I have this album in my collection? The Editors, an English rock band released in the year 2005 a what one could call indie-rock, post-punk album. The astonishing thing about it is that this powerful and well-conceived album is their debut.  However, one would never guess by only listening to it that it was produced in the 21st century as the sound reminds a lot of the post-punk wave in the 1980ies. Not only the music but also the singer’s deep voice is reminiscent of great bands like for example Joy Division or R.E.M.

Hello, I am back again 🙂 Thank you for not letting me down and sticking to my blog. I really needed these weeks in order to focus on my upcoming exams. However, now I have more spare time to invest in blogging, writing and taking photographs – really looking forward to it. I wondered what this post should be about.
